It’s been a while since I last posted and tbh, I didn’t play that much recently…over the last few days I tried to play a little though and it was horrible. “Bad beat” after bad beat, cooler after cooler…and I’m not making this shit up either…
Summary of a few of those lovely hands:
headsup NL HE: KK vs A7…A, next hand KK vs AA…nada; QQ vs 77….7, JJ vs 66…6; AK vs A5…A5xxx, etc etc
PL O8b: AAK2 vs A2xx…flush for him after going all-in preflop (deep stack); A2KK vs A2xx…no low he rivers a flush; etc etc
Razz: three to the wheel vs 8 low draw…capped all the way…I lose; rinse repeat; rinse repeat…
Coinflip and related bs statistics: update, pokerstars featuring a new eighteen aces deck…but not when I’m holding an ace…they’re switching it for the 0 Aces and 0 Kicker deck in that case…JJ vs Ax…A; QQ vs AK…A; JJ vs AQ…A; 66 vs A9…A; 77 vs A8…A; AK vs 77…nada, AQ vs A7…7….AK vs AJ…QTK; etc etc
60/40 bs: AJ vs KQ..K; AT vs QJ…Q; K9 vs QT…T; K8 vs Q7…7; etc etc
Other bs: AA vs KK…K; KK vs AA…nada; KK vs QQ…Q; JJ vs QQ…nada…; AA vs J9…he flops a straight; QQ vs K6…he rivers a 7 high straight; etc etc
I’m so fucking steamed up now…I guess I won’t be playing another hand this year…ridonkulous shit going on there, this isn’t about variance, this is about bs…and I won’t take it and throw away my money anymore…this is the biggest downswing I’ve ever seen and there’s shit I could have done about it (except logging off after the first cooler of a session…but what good is that?)…so fuck you PokerStars! Thanks for crapping on my christmas present. Once again: FUCK YOU! You won’t be seeing me online for the next few weeks…thanks again…for nothing.
On a brighter note: Happy holidays…and if I really stick to my promise: A happy new year! Cya on the other side…and better luck at the tables!
Not much to report…
…still little time for poker these days. Managed to squeeze in a little playing time today though. Started out good, winning a six-handed SnG, but it all went south pretty fast after that. Oh well…what can you do. Stats for the night: 1W 3L in six-handed, 3 of 3 L in headsup…I’m outta here…
Random pic dump:

Playing when mentally exhausted no g00t
…then again, it probably wouldn’t have been any different if I was totally up to par. Why? I managed to run AK into the powerful T6o, all-in preflop…nice call for your whole stack sir (and he wasn’t short)…I then went ahead and ran AK into KK, QQ into AA and some other nice hands, JJ into K9, etc etc…
So Hold’em totally lost…0 for 3…at least I managed to crusher a donk at PLO8…still down for the night, but I’m too tired to continue now…off to catch some sleep…
Still in nirvana
I don’t know if my view is so blurred or if it’s really just a weird spell of cards I’m encountering, but it sure still feels weird to play as it’s just like the next cooler and/or bs is just the next deal away. Managed to run KK into the monster JJ…sure enough the two outer hits. Returned the favour by cracking aces with queens. The difference. He min-raise preflop OOP and played the trapping game after the flop came Q high, good for me as I bet him into oblivion until he finally pushed into the nuts on the river.
Apart from that some other really weird hands and lots of coolers (most of whom I just saw, and I’ll spare you the screenshots as they’re the usual 4:1 preflop = 0% once the board is up). Take this one hand three-handed. I’m in the BB…button raise to 3x. SB calls…I call with K8. Flop comes down QJT. Not the worst flop three-handed. SB checks, I check. Button fires a big bet. SB raises all-in. What to do…fold. Button calls. Both show JT for bottom two pair. Turn 9. I curse and before I even get into “bs mode” the case Jack hits the river giving them both a boat. Nice hands. Good that I folded. *lol*. So sick. A few hands later the next cooler style. I’m in the BB again and look down at A4. Button pushes. SB calls. What to do what to do. I fold. Button shows AQ. SB shows AK. Board xx4x4. So sick. Still took down the headsup match, but still…makes you wonder…
All in all I managed to pull one W out of four six-handed SnGs and one W out of one NL HU match. So slightly up for the night, but still not back in the groove…not one bit to be exact. Oh well…
Still running awesome…
…well, not really. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s me getting a little impatient, or maybe it’s just that I don’t have a clue what the hell is going on. One thing’s for sure though, I’m still running awesome. Today was officially AX is no g00t day. AJ vs 55…flops quads on my ass…presto obv gold there…AK vs TT…flops trips on me…AJ vs 88…well you know the drill….flops trips…99 vs 22…flops trips on me…etc etc…I quit as soon as I won the first flip of the night…22 vs AK…quack quack motherfuckers…and I’m outta here…up for the night…less than a buck…oh wheeee….how good it feels to run that good and still finish up, a little, but I’ll take it after rake…I’m outta here…for real…
You know you’re running g00t…
…if you get kicked in the junk over and over and over and over again. That’s pretty much what happened tonight…I won’t exclude some nice hands of mine (quad Kings, etc), but I won’t show any screenshots as I was too tilted in those moments. Tilted holding the likes of quad kings? Yeah, pretty much sucks if you hold the chiplead and push it in good to very good (e.g. AK vs AQ) and lose, yet again to a fucking three outer, the hand before you get another monster…then you get no action on your quads etc…pretty tough to keep a cool head there…
At least I’ve seen a royal flush again…three handed…nice cooler…at least I was smart enough to stay out of that hand…

I’m outta here…
Cooler nation
Today was one of the uglier sessions, not results-wise as I was wise enough to quit after just four matches, but in the overall “coolness” of the matches. I played PLO8, PL5CD and one NL HE HU match and the theme was the same in all matches.
PLO8: Start with A2xx…flop A2Q…turn A…river 10…most of the money is in by now…opponent holds AQxx…etc etc
PL5CD: Start with two pair…opponent starts with two pair…opponent hits boat…start with set…opponent starts with flush draw…opponent hits…
NL HE: Dismantle opponent, pick up bluffs, etc etc, then watch cooler after cooler…two outer on the river (T8o vs 55…flop 8xx turn x…river 5)…two outer on the river (62o vs A7…flop 667..turn x…river 7) …etc etc…
Fugly…but oh well…at least I didn’t let it tilt me…right back at ‘cha soon…
Oh brother
Today was the single most sick SnG session in a loooong time. Didn’t win a single match, not one. Bubble at a six-handed one to start of the session with this peach of a hand…

My reasoning for my call of the SB’s push: he was pushing a lot once we were down to three handed with all sorts of hands, so, even if I was behind (which I didn’t believe, but I was), I could still catch the diamond to win it. Once the chipleader button insta-called I knew I was toast…diamond on the turn just to rub it in.
What a wonderful start to the session, I guess I should have quit right there, but guess what, I didn’t…and so the carnage began. I was slaughtered in every game imaginable. NL Hold’em 0/2. PLO8…three outered for the deciding pot…Razz…up to 2600/400…he catches the 6 outer to double up and shit hits the fan a few hands later…guess what…calling down double-paired works these days as he only had to catch a 6/7/8 (me showing an 7 and an 8 )…so he had all the 7 outs…boom headshot…and I’m in dire straits and busto soon enough.
Oh well, let’s play another Hold’em HU SnG to close out the session, no matter if I’m winning or not, I’m quitting after that. And lose I did, made a bad call in the middle and once the blinds got big I was really short. No surprise that my opponent spikes his bs straight on the river to end my misery…gg me.

I can honestly say that I made something like 3 bad decisions all night…mostly losing the minimum (putting opponents on wrong hands)…but those ones weren’t the crucial hands…it was the auto-payoff hands (counterfeited two pair on the river, gutterball on the river) and some nice coooooooooool coolers…oh well…I guess I really should take another break as I’m getting crushed these days.
Sidenote: I admit that I’ve been up against some good players recently and I lost some matches fair and square, but in the grand picture of recent results, that’s not the deciding factor. It’s the bs hands that keep hitting me in the junk like a wrecking-ball. Every small edge (51-69%) seems like a 4:1 underdog these days…and don’t even get me started about some of the more ugly hands (4:1 favourite, boom headshot) and the card-deadness. My best hand in over a week was ONE pair of Kings which I had to muck once my rocky opponent came over the top of a A-high flop. Apart from that I’ve had plenty on 22-66…hitting exactly 0 sets. So sick…end rant.
SOOL
Shit out of luck, that’s how I feel on Stars these days. No matter how good, mediocre or bad I play a hand, I’m going to lose it if it’s a big pot. Now, it’s a given fact that you’re going to lose some matches due to errors, but it seems that I tend to lose the matches in the following order:
1. Getting unlucky.
2. Cooler.
3. Error.
It’s really frustrating to say the least. Today’s session had it all again, from the usual coolers (JJ vs KK, 77 vs QQ, AT vs AQ, etc) to the outright bs hands (QQ vs 62o overpair vs bottom pair…bottom pair obv good by the river when he hits his bs “kicker”, 56 vs 45 two pair vs straight draw…..gutter ball obv good). So sick I could puke. Unreal how bad I’ve been running the last few days, it’s not even funny. I had a look at some of the more “entertaining” hands and there’s a small error percentage on my part as far as I can tell – e.g. “slow playing” in some spots (e.g. not betting the pot, but half of it if I put the opponent on less than 6 outs) isn’t really an error in headsup, unless your opponent hangs around to catch the gutterball (or some other low percentage draw)…then he looks like a (idiot errrm) genius. The prime example was the QQ vs 62o hand. I raise it to 3BB preflop. He calls. 6BB in the pot. Flop comes Tx2. I fire out half the pot. He calls. Turn 6. I lead out and he raises. I think a while and can’t put him on a hand that makes sense. How could the 6 help you here? So I push and he obv insta-calls. River brick. Well…how can I dodge that bullet? I don’t know. It doesn’t make sense. How can you call preflop with 62o? Well, easy, if you hit two pair or better you can bust a big pair, all good. But after you hit your duck with no kicker, how can you call on the flop? It’s a mistery to me, but oh well…
So…I’m going to take a break at PokerStars for a few days as it’s obvious that I can’t win anything on there atm. I mean, I’m not ready to get out the tinfoil-hat just yet, but it’s starting to get mad annoying. Everytime I’m about to bust a move again (e.g. hitting bankroll x) I run into such a bullshit run on Stars…amazing. Oh well…WSOP is about over…I’m annoyed with PS…so I’m going to take a break and focus on some FullTilt action for now.
…that’s exactly what I did after the shitty run on Stars. The result, one bubble and two wins. Amazing…I’m out….
What a shitty sunday
Boy, what a shitty sunday. First you wake up and the sun is shining, you feel good and it seems that it’s just your average lazy sunday. Then shit hits the fan.
After feeling not so well yesterday, my father felt even worse today, developing a higher and higher fever during the day. This afternoon the doctor had to call the ambulance to take him to the hospital. After driving my mom to the hospital and waiting and waiting, we were finally able to see him. After getting some infusions and what not he was feeling a little bit better, no word from the doctor about a diagnosis though…that’ll have to wait until tomorrow I guess…he has to spend the night in hospital.
Damn. After that I really didn’t want to play any poker today, but as I didn’t feel like sleeping yet, I decided to play at least one SnG. Why did I even bother. Eliminate some donk and cripple another by pushing KK (vs ace rag x 2) – check. Losing cooler a few hands later – check. Oh well…we’re three handed and the new chipleader has 4.6k, the donk I crippled chipped up to 2.2k and I’m sitting with 2.2k. Then the usual happens. The donk has been very aggressive so far and when I look down at AT s00ted in the BB, I think that it’s time to get aggressive. The donk in the SB limped…so I push for 2k more (blinds 100/200). He thinks for a while and calls all-in with the monster K4o. As usual, he hits the 40-ball like it is nothing. It seems that the current bubble-rule with pokerstars is (40% shot? Call all-in without being nowhere near pot-commited? Donkey? You win!)…so friggin FUGLY! I hope this donk never catches a flop again…bastard!
