PokerStars-13.12.2005
After the cancelled tournament over Titan I decided to try my luck in my new favourite game, 7 stud H/L, over at Pokerstars and I gotta say the competition is good, maybe even too good for me today. Played three sessions: the first two at a 0.04$/0.08$ Limit table with a 0.01$ ante…see stats below:
During current Stud H/L session you were dealt 72 hands and:
– saw fourth street 50 times (69%)
– saw fifth street 37 times (51%)
– saw sixth street 30 times (41%)
– reached showdown 20 times (27%)
Pots won at showdown – 10 of 20 (50%)
Pots won without showdown – 6
Result: -1,30$
So I decided to look for another table and found a pretty tight 0.10$/0.20$ with a 0.02$ ante…caught some nice cards, but fell quick to some unbeatable hands…who could have thought that I was sitting with the “bike convention” 🙁
During current Stud H/L session you were dealt 9 hands and:
– saw fourth street 4 times (44%)
– saw fifth street 4 times (44%)
– saw sixth street 3 times (33%)
– reached showdown 3 times (33%)
Pots won at showdown – 0 of 3 (0%)
Pots won without showdown – 0
Result: – 2.00$

Played some hands on regular money tables today and was able to catch a good run of cards at a 0.25$/0.50$ table (up around 5 dollars), but I guess I sticked around just a little bit too long though (dropping around 6 dollars). Nontheless it might be worth it as I played over 100 raked hands which brings me nearer to clearing my bonus and should give me an entrance to tomorrow’s 100 Million Dollar qualification satellite…I hope I’ll catch some cards tomorrow and make it to the real deal as there’s major cash up for grabs (in the main event tournament: 1 Million $ for a Royal Flush, 750.000$ for a straight flush, 500.000$ for Four Aces or Four Kings, 250.000$ for Four of a Kind Queens, Jacks or tens; even better: if you make it to the final table and hit a Royal Flush of Spades you’re the winner of 100 Million Dollars!!!!! – we all know the odds aren’t really good that anyone will do it, but if there’s a theoretical chance, you never know :-))

It has been a while since I played at Titan and it was a good decision to play a little bit tonight. I went out of my way and didn’t play a S&G or regular tournament, but just good old money play. Play at a 0.10$/0.20$ first and went up around 4$ in no time, couldn’t catch anything for a while so moved on to another table – in this case a 0.05$/0.10$ table as no other 0.10$/0.20$ table was running. Caught some hands early on and was able to stay ahead (+1.20$) until I decided to call it quits for tonight (or this morning as it’s already nearly 4am over here)…nice 🙂
Private Poker Session
Today’s final private poker event of the year was cancelled last minute 🙁
Little home game
Played a little home game following the Fifa World Cup Final Draw…5 Euro buy-in…4 players…winner awarded 15 Euro, 2nd place awarded 5 Euro. Busted out in 3rd place…couldn’t catch a hand and just when I caught a hand my flop All-In was called…
My hand: A-A 🙂
Thomas’ hand: 10-J
Flop: 7-8-9
Turn+River: blank 🙁

So, I decided that all the S&G playing wasn’t really paying off (I’ll try to combine statistics somewhere in the near future) – so “normal” play comes to mind. It wasn’t a good idea to play a mix of Stud, Omaha and Omaha H/L though. Switching between the two games put me a little bit off apart from the fact that I kept making good hands, but nontheless still run into even better hands. One example: I hit the diamond nut flush and keep betting and betting until I’m all in with one caller…sure enough he makes his diamond straight flush on the turn 🙁
Results: 4$ donkeyed off in less than 30 minutes…
Next private poker session is set!
Alrighty! The next poker session is set and I’m going to be a part of it. Despite a lot of pre-christmas action we’ve finally set a date for the next Poker event and I’m sure it’ll rock!
I guess the main action will be a Limit Hold’em session although I want to try to push other games (especially Stud and maybe even Omaha (no Hi/Lo though))…watch out for my next post after the session…
Here’s the invitation to the event(!), it’s getting more and more professional around here 🙂 :

Titan-21.11.2005
Nothing going my way yesterday or today…can’t believe how unlucky I get sometimes, like in the 1$ S&G (6 players) I get Q-Q and push just to be re-raised all-in, I call and show the Hilton Sisters…just to look down at the Cowboys (K-K), argh!, out in 6th place…
Then I decide to play a little bit heads up (2$) and get both A-A and K-K twice…but to no avail as the opponent doesn’t respond and is sitting out (both times I had A-A) and is folding (both times I had K-K)…nothing major going on for a while then I push and he calls and get’s lucky on the river…out in 2nd place…
Enough Titan for a while…
UltimateBet-15.11.2005
Played to TEC Freerolls today (9:15am ET & 01:15pm ET). Didn’t really stand a chance and finished in 671th of 2308 (when my A-Q didn’t improve on the board while running into A-A) and 2168th of 2500 (when my A-J didn’t improve on the board while running into, yet another, A-A) 🙁
Played some low stakes Hold’em, but couldn’t get anywhere either during the course of play (25minutes, +/- 0.00$). I guess I’ll head over to Pstars for a S&G later tonight…
Titan-14.11.2005
One days work at Titan Poker:
Ring game play:
-0,05$, played in different games with blinds of 0.02$/0.04$ and 0.05$/0.10$, didn’t catch much of hand…so decided to call it a day after roughly 2hours of play.
Tournament play:
Thought it would be a good way to finish my day at Titan, played a little S&G (1$ + 0.10$) and won it, +4,20$, nice 🙂
